Veneers are used to improve the appearance of chipped, stained, misaligned, worn down, uneven, or abnormally spaced teeth. Dental veneers are custom made to fit over each of your individual teeth, for an end result that looks natural and flawless.
Dental veneers are normally made of composite resin and porcelain.
If teeth are severely stained or misshapen, veneers allow us to cover the imperfections to start fresh with a flawless smile. The materials used to make veneers don’t stain as easily as tooth enamel, so they’ll stay perfectly white for much longer.
Just like natural teeth, dental veneers should be brushed two to three times a day and flossed daily. We recommend brushing with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque-causing bacteria.
First, an impression is taken of the tooth by our dental team. Then the veneer is custom-made to fit the patient’s tooth and mouth. To apply veneers and ensure they are bonded securely, Dr. Gradeless will remove a small amount of the existing tooth enamel so the veneer will fit on top. Then the custom veneer is bonded to the existing tooth with resin cement.
